There are no limits to what good design can accomplish, and that’s especially true in this transformation. Grace Church in Middleburg Heights, Ohio was looking to take their space from dark and dated to comfortable and inviting. This face lift included not only the main lobby, but added a gathering space and a new cafe. Architectural Justice designers and artisans worked closely with members of the church to make sure their interests and visions came to life in their new space.
The Lobby

Our designers made many changes to Grace Church including the pre-existing lobby, which included a new custom wall paneling, custom desk and a custom marble counter with a twist on the waterfall edge. We removed the old lighting fixtures and added pendant lighting behind the front desk. Lastly, we replaced the traditional white columns with custom wood columns all built in our Cabinetry Shop.

Global Grounds Coffee Cafe

We removed the previous office spaces and transformed this space into the Global Grounds Coffee Cafe. This addition gives Grace Church a place for fellowship and supporting global mission trips. For the design of the cafe, our designers worked with the Architectural Justice Artisans to build custom pieces. Our Artisans incorporated a variety of textures and colors as well as custom made tables, bars, booths and signage.

Lastly, our designers took the Fireside room to a whole new level. We used the same wood panels, metal tables, pendant lighting, Pure White Quartz counters and the Bleecker Blue subway back splash from the cafe design. This created a seamless transition from room to room. The result is a bright, open and welcoming space designed with a complementary mix of, live edge wood, metal and stone materials.
