Every kitchen remodel is thoughtfully designed around your home, lifestyle, and goals. Our proven design-build process guides clients from concept to completion with clear communication throughout each phase. Because every project is custom-designed, timelines vary based on scope, selections, and scheduling.
1. Initial Consultation (Complimentary)
Meet with one of our designers to explore your vision, goals, and remodeling priorities. This is your opportunity to discuss layout, cabinetry, countertops, and overall design style.
2. Project Scope & Budget
We outline a detailed plan, including anticipated timelines, investment range, and next steps to ensure your kitchen remodel fits your lifestyle and budget.
3. Design Development & Material Selections
Our team conducts field measurements, creates space plans, and develops cabinetry designs with 3D renderings. Clients select countertops, cabinetry, tile, flooring, and finishes within our 20,000 sq. ft. Design Center. Depending on project scope and design revisions, this collaborative phase may take approximately 4–16 weeks as details are thoughtfully refined.
4. Proposal & Contract
Once the design is approved, we finalize costs and contracts, preparing your kitchen remodel for fabrication and installation.
5. Fabrication & Procurement
Cabinetry, countertops, tile, and specialty materials are ordered or fabricated in-house. During this phase, our team coordinates production schedules, material procurement, fabrication timelines, and installation planning to prepare for construction.
6. Construction & Installation
Our skilled remodeling and installation teams bring your design to life. We maintain clear communication throughout, ensuring your kitchen remodel is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
Kitchen Remodeling FAQs
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Before construction begins, the design, material selection, estimating, and ordering process typically takes approximately 6–16 weeks, depending on the scope of the project and decision-making timeline. Once construction begins, the remodeling phase generally takes an additional 6–10 weeks on average.
Because each project is custom-designed and carefully coordinated, timelines can vary based on cabinetry, material availability, fabrication, and overall project complexity. Your projected timeline will be clearly outlined throughout the planning process.
Do I need to move out during construction?
In most cases, homeowners do not need to move out during a kitchen remodel. That said, construction can be disruptive. While we take steps to control dust and protect surrounding areas, some homeowners choose to leave the space temporarily, depending on the scope of the project. We’ll review logistics and expectations in advance so you can plan accordingly.
Can you help with kitchen design?
Yes. Our kitchen remodeling projects include professional design services, from layout planning and cabinetry design to material selections and 3D renderings. Our designers work closely with you to ensure your kitchen is both functional and visually cohesive.
Do you offer custom cabinetry?
Yes. We offer custom and semi-custom cabinetry, designed to fit your space, storage needs, and style preferences. Our cabinetry partners include:
- Shiloh
- Eclipse
- Aspect
- Decora
- Custom Amish-Made Cabinetry – locally crafted in Ohio
Our designers help you choose the right cabinetry line for your project, whether you’re looking for builder-grade, semi-custom, or fully custom options. All cabinetry is selected and designed as part of our in-house kitchen remodeling process, ensuring a seamless fit with your countertops, tile, and overall design.
Do you have to manage the entire kitchen remodeling project?
No. Architectural Justice offers material-only options, as well as full-service kitchen remodeling. We can collaborate with other contractors when needed; however, projects are most efficient when our team manages the full scope of work. This allows us to better control timelines, coordination, and overall project quality.
What areas do you serve?
Architectural Justice provides kitchen remodeling services throughout Northeast Ohio, including Medina, Strongsville, Brunswick, Brecksville, Fairlawn, and surrounding communities within the greater Cleveland–Akron metro area. Please contact us to confirm service availability in your area.
What types of countertops do you offer for kitchen remodels?
We offer a wide selection of high-quality kitchen countertops, including natural stone such as granite, marble, and quartzite, as well as engineered quartz. Our team helps you select the right surface for durability, style, and functionality, whether you’re aiming for a modern, classic, or custom look. All countertops are fabricated and installed in-house as part of your kitchen remodel.
What is the difference between granite, marble, quartz, and quartzite?
Each countertop material has unique characteristics to consider for your kitchen remodel:
- Granite: A natural stone known for its durability and heat resistance, ideal for busy kitchens.
- Marble: Valued for its classic beauty and veining, softer than granite, and requires more care.
- Quartz: An engineered stone that is highly durable, low-maintenance, and non-porous.
- Quartzite: A natural stone resembling marble but harder and more durable, combining elegance with strength.
Our design team helps you choose the right material based on style, usage, and maintenance preferences, ensuring your countertops look beautiful and last for years.
How do I care for natural stone and quartz countertops?
Natural stone countertops, such as granite, marble, and quartzite, should be sealed approximately once a year to help protect against staining, while engineered quartz requires minimal maintenance and does not need sealing.
As part of your installation, we provide countertop sealer and care instructions. Sealing is easier than many homeowners expect — simply apply the sealer to the surface, allow it to absorb for up to 15 minutes, wipe away any excess, and let it cure for 24 hours. Our team is always available to answer questions and help you keep your kitchen surfaces looking beautiful for years to come.
